The Logistic's Unit oversees the day to day (facilities) operation of the Police Department. Logistics personnel are responsible for fleet and building maintenance, ordering of supplies, issuance and inventory of equipment and other related special projects.
In addition to overseeing and coordinating the day to day facilities and fleet operations of the department, the Logistics Unit is directly involved in the remodel of the police facility. This project consists of improvements throughout both floors of the building. The project encompasses demolition of old wall and floor coverings and replacing them with new paint, polished concrete flooring and carpeting to create a more professional image. The project also includes new office furniture; refurbished bathrooms; refurbished employee lounge; refurbished locker rooms; refurbished conference room and a new briefing room.
