The Reserve Police Officers Program is comprised of members of the community who choose to dedicate a portion of their time by working as volunteers with law enforcement. Reserve Police Officers support the department in a number of capacities such as assisting police officers with patrol duties, conducting patrol in specified areas, providing police presence at various community functions, transportation of prisoners, and crime scene security, just to name a few. If you need additional information on the qualifications to become a Reserve Police Officer you can go the the Peace Officers Stands and Training (POST) website at www.post.ca.gov.
