Citizen's Academy

The Rialto Police Department will be hosting a 10-week Citizen’s Academy, beginning in March 2017. The Academy will meet each Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Rialto Police Department Annex, located at 429 W. Rialto Avenue.

The Citizen’s Academy is designed to present residents with an understanding of the Police Department’s operations, which will provide a greater awareness and understanding of law enforcement’s role in our community.  Each week, an inside look at police functions will be taught by police executives and veteran officers.

The Citizen’s Academy curriculum will provide insight into our police department functions including; criminal investigations, traffic laws, radio communications, drug and gang enforcement, police ethics, police K9s, SWAT, crisis negotiation, crime analysis, and patrol functions.
